Michael Vartanyan

GHG and carbon markets technology expert, Managing Director, Spherical
Michael is delivering IT solutions for climate change since 2001. During his 15-year-long tenure at the UNFCCC secretariat, he developed, managed and operated most of the UNFCCC systems powering greenhouse gas transparency and carbon markets. Michael is a member of the UNFCCC Consultative Group of Experts and the Managing Director of Spherical — a software company specializing in climate solutions.

For more than ten years she has worked in Sustainable Development, including Environmental Impact Assessment, climate change, and greenhouse-gas calculations. She currently works at Henkel as a Sustainable Materials Manager.

Rusanne "Rusty" Low

Citizen-science leader, environmental researcher
Rusanne "Rusty" Low is a senior scientist who helped shape NASA's GLOBE citizen-science strategy and led the Mosquito Habitat Mapper across five continents. A Fulbright Scholar and UNITAR Global Diplomacy Fellow, she has trained educators and communities worldwide in open science, equity, and environmental stewardship.

Christina Kwauk

Social scientist, education and climate policy analyst
Christina works at the intersection of education for climate action, international development, gender equality, and youth empowerment. She has co-edited books on climate education and girls' education, published research and curricula on climate change, and trained education professionals worldwide on greening education.

Juliette Rooney-Varga

Climate scientist, educator, sustainability researcher
Juliette directs the Climate Change Initiative, co-directs the Rist Institute for Sustainability and Energy, and is a professor of Environmental Science at UMass Lowell. A biogeochemist and microbial ecologist, she develops interactive climate and energy simulations that support public understanding and science-informed decisions.
